How to further extend the basic LCI-database for sustainable turbomachinery manufacturing?

Challenge and Motivation

  • Resource and energy efficiency are drivers in the turbomachine industry to strive for more ecological sustainable product and process development. However, the achievement of sufficient LCI-data makes high quality LCA-results considerably challenging.
  • Continue project 1.1 from 2023 by adding processes (e.g. ECM) to the database.

Objective

  • Assessment of specific and general ecological hot-spots in terms of energy and resource consumption.
  • Further development of ICTM specific LCI-data base.
