- Grinding of CMCs is a cost intensive manufacturing process due to material brittleness and hardness. High tool wear and workpiece surface damage are challenging tasks.
- Coolant supply strategy has a major impact on ground surface quality, tool wear and the dressing process.
- However, the potentials of coolant supply strategies such as coolant loading or MQL for optimizing grinding of CMC has hardly been invested on.
