Challenge and Motivation 

  • Previous studies (Collaborative 2017 project 3.3) have shown limited path precision on systems for LMD.
  • With suitable build strategies to mitigate these limitation, LMD can be feasible for a wider range of applications.
  • Challenge: Identify suitable build strategies.

Objective

  • Investigate possible alternative build strategies to mitigate precision limitations of robotic systems.
  • Further determine the influence of limitations of path imprecisions on geometric features such as radii.
